People have been surfing in Munich since 1972. Today there is already a local surf scene, the so called FUS Crew. Young, talented surfers like Simon Strangfeld or Paul Günther are also ripping in the Ocean and the world's best River-Surfer Gerry Schlegel has been one of the best German (ocean-) surfers for a long time.
