SURFARIS - Remote Coastal Surf Adventures
Surfing is a national sport in Australia, but with SURFARIS it is still possible to surf great waves without a big crowd.
In the National Parks between Sydney and Byron Bay you only have to share them with some dolphins…
The Surf Camp
The base of SURFARIS is the Bush’n’Beach Motel, which is in the Hat head National Park about halfway between
Sydney and Brisbane. Besides dorms and double rooms there is common room, a kitchen, a saltwater pool and free
internet access. In the packages all meals are included as well as the transport to the best surf breaks of the day,
surf lessons and the equipment.
it is possible to get delicious meals without any meat, too. Furthermore the camp offers yoga, massages and a
board building workshop where you can make your own eco-friendly surfboard out of wood.
In the Hat Head National Park you find perfect waves for every surfing level almost every day and the guys of SURFARIS
know the empty breaks like the back of their hand. Surfing with playful dolphins is not unusual there at all!
surfers. Every morning the SURFARIS guys check the conditions and drive to the ideal spot for the day...
Prices for accommodation, surfing lessons and food

You can book an all-inclusive package as well as individual self catering holiday. The prices for the
various offers are composed as follows (stated in Australian Dollars Link) :
There you can enjoy the nature and surf, surf, surf… With the equipment of SURFARIS you surf the best
breaks of the day, get helpful advices in the water and enjoy the tasty food afterward. At the end of the week
you have the choice to either go back to Sydney or head up to Byron Bay.
About the region
The surfing beaches Manly and Bondi Beach in Sydney as well as the “Hippie-Capital” Byron Bay are popular among
surfers all over the world. Espacially backpackers, who travel along the east coast of Australia by car, busses
or hitch-hiking, love the alternative lifestyle in Byron Bay.
But between these popular hot spots there are numerous great waves. Hidden in the National Parks of
New South Wales you share the waves with dolphins and whales. On land kangaroos and dingos make the real
Aussie experience complete...
In the middle of that paradise there is the base of SURFARIS, about three kilometers north of the village
Crescent Head in the Hat Head National Park. The surrounding of 15 acres of bush and beautiful beaches
makes this place ideal for an amazing surf trip.
How to get there
You can start with that trip either in Sydney or in Byron Bay. Cheapest flights to Australia usually fly into Sydney.
But you can also fly into Port Macquiere which is only 70 km away of the Hat Head National Park.
You should be able to communicate in English.
