SURFARIS - Remote Coastal Surf Adventures

Surfing is a national sport in Australia, but with SURFARIS it is still possible to surf great waves without a big crowd.

The Surf Camp 

The base of SURFARIS is the Bush’n’Beach Motel, which is in the Hat head National Park about halfway between

Sydney and Brisbane. Besides dorms and double rooms there is common room, a kitchen, a saltwater pool and free

internet access. In the packages all meals are included as well as the transport to the best surf breaks of the day,

surf lessons and the equipment.

SURFARIS is known for great food, which is not only tasty but also very healthy. If you are vegetarian, no worries,

it is possible to get delicious meals without any meat, too. Furthermore the camp offers yoga, massages and a

board building workshop where you can make your own eco-friendly surfboard out of wood.

The Surf

In the Hat Head National Park you find perfect waves for every surfing level almost every day and the guys of SURFARIS

know the empty breaks like the back of their hand. Surfing with playful dolphins is not unusual there at all!

Nearby to the base of SURFARIS there are 12 surf spots that offers great waves for beginners as well as professional

surfers. Every morning the SURFARIS guys check the conditions and drive to the ideal spot for the day... 

Prices for accommodation, surfing lessons and food

There are three to six day trips to choose from and you can start either in Sydney or in Byron Bay.

You can book an all-inclusive package as well as individual self catering holiday. The prices for the

Pick-up is at Central Station in Sydney Monday mornings and from there you will be driven to Crescent Head.

There you can enjoy the nature and surf, surf, surf… With the equipment of SURFARIS you surf the best

breaks of the day, get helpful advices in the water and enjoy the tasty food afterward. At the end of the week

you have the choice to either go back to Sydney or head up to Byron Bay.

About the region

The surfing beaches Manly and Bondi Beach in Sydney as well as the “Hippie-Capital” Byron Bay are popular among

How to get there

You can start with that trip either in Sydney or in Byron Bay. Cheapest flights to Australia usually fly into Sydney.

But you can also fly into Port Macquiere which is only 70 km away of the Hat Head National Park.
