On the tiny N’Gor Island near the Senegalese capital Dakar you can improve your surfing in a paradisiac environment. The spot
„N’Gor Right“ should be well-known to a lot of surfers from the movie „The Endless Summer“. And those of you who like Rap and
R&B might even get hold of an autograph from the singer Akon who owns the camp property.
Surf Camp and Surf School
The camp’s main building has a 7-bed dormitory and two family rooms, quite single and double rooms are available as well. In the
garden you can relax in a Mauritanian tent and hammocks, while the beach is only 50 metres away.
Breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant, from where you can also enjoy the beautiful sea view. The rooms are cleaned
daily, a laundry service is available.
Although the N’Gor Surf Camp does not have a conventional power connection, the supply with electricity is ensured by solar and wind
energy systems – warm showers and WiFi included.
The surf courses for all levels and ages are without exception held by locals.
The Surf
Around N’Gor Island there are numerous top surf spots. Every day, local surf guide Mour Mbengue takes you to the
best of them. Constant swell is almost guaranteed – either from the north, west or south.

The tiny N’Gor Island is located around 800 metres off the coast from the Senegalese capital Dakar. Life on the island is calm and
comfortable. Not only does it offer best conditions for surfing, you cal also relax on white sand beaches or enjoy fresh seafood in
one of the restaurants. But if you don’t want to go without some nightlife action or just a shopping stroll, the city of Dakar is only
5 minutes away by boat.
How to Get There
By plane to Dakar, where you get picked up. – Malaria and yellow fever vaccinations are recommended. Citizens of the EU, the
USA and Canada do not need a visa (90 days stay for tourists).
