WaveXperience runs not less than three surf camps in the villages of Vieux Boucau, Moliets-Plage and Le Pin Sec on the French
Atlantic coast between Bordeaux and Biarritz. In the summer of 2010, the camp in Vieux Boucau is situated on the campsite
„Les Sablères“, only 300 metres away from the beach. Here you can not only enjoy 3-stars-comfort but also play beach volleyball,
football and streetball. In summer 2008, the camp hosted the Swiss Championships and the Swiss Surfing Week.
Accommodation and Board
You are accommodated on the campsite „Les Sablères“, either two people sharing a tent for four or three people sharing a house
tent for five. These are equipped with camp beds, but remember bringing you own bedding or sleeping bag.
The camp has a large kitchen, an eating tent as well as a party and training tent. Furthermore, you can hire bikes and sports equipment
(e.g. bodyboards) for free. Playstation, TV, stereo and ping-pong table are available, too.
For 70 Euro extra per week you will not only get a great breakfast but you can also make your own lunch pack for the day. Your daily
warm dinner (also vegetarian) is accompanied by salad and dessert.
Surf Courses
WaveXperience Vieux Boucau conducts surf courses for beginners, intermediates and advanced surfers. You can choose between
20-hour courses (20 x 45min) and 10-hour courses (10 x 45min). Bodyboard courses are also available (10 x 45min).
The group size is 8 people max while there is one instructor for 4 students. You can set your individual learning goals at the beginning
of the course together with your instructors.
WaveXperience provides wetsuits and surfboards free of charge. If you book a 20-hour course, you can use the material outside
of the course hours as well.
Dates and Additional Services
You can book for 7 or 14 days. The surf season runs from June till October, and the prices vary between 99 and 249 Euro depending
on how many surf lessons you book (10 or 20 hours).
WaveXperience Vieux Boucau offers the following additional services:

Region
Vieux Boucau is situated in the Département of Landes (40) in the Aquitaine region, about 45 kilometres north of Bayonne.
The coastal strip from Bordeaux in the north and Biarritz in the south is probably well known to most surfers. Here you can
find great conditions for waveriding, so every year many international competitions are held in the area, e.g. Quiksilver Pro France
and the Quiksilver German Champs.
The pinewood of the Landes and Médoc have been basically man-made since the 18th century and constitute the biggest coherent
wood area in Western Europe. The pines were planted to drain the once swampy soil. Therefore the hinterland is characterized by
woodland while the coast strip has long dunes, beautiful beaches and a lot of world class surf spots.
Vieux Boucau is around 160 kilometres away from Bordeaux and about 130 kilometres from San Sebastian.
How to Get There
Airlines such as Ryanair, AirBerlin and EasyJet offer flights from a lot of European cities to Bordeaux, Biarritz, San Sebastian and Bilbao.
From the Netherlands and Belgium as well as from Germany, Austria and Switzerland there also go coaches to a couple of towns in
Aquitaine. Prices vary between 125 € and 170 € for a return ticket.
You can also travel to Dax by train and have yourself picked up at the station by the WaveXperience team. Finally, you can go by
your own car, of course.

You should be able to communicate in either Spanish, English or German.
