On the French Atlantic coast between Bordeaux and Biarritz, WaveXperience runs not less than three surf camps in the villages
of Moliets-Plage, Vieux Boucau and Le Pin Sec. During the summer of 2010, the camp in Moliets is situated on the campsite „Les Cigales“,
only a few hundred metres away from the beach. Here you can not only enjoy surfing, but also benefit from 3-stars-comfort and many
more free time opportunities. For learning how to surf and bodyboard you can choose between different courses.
Accommodation and Board
You are accommodated on the campsite „Les Cigales“, two people sharing a tent for four or three people sharing a house tent for five.
These are equipped with camp beds, but don’t forget bringing you own sleeping bag or bedding.
The camp disposes of a large kitchen, an eating tent as well as a party and training tent. Moreover, you can borrow bikes and
sports equipment for free. Playstation and TV also available.
For an extra charge of 70 Euro per week you will get a large breakfast with the opportunity to prepare your own lunch pack as well
as daily warm dinner (also vegetarian).
Surf Courses
WaveXperience Moliets offers surf courses for beginners, intermediates and advanced surfers. You can choose between courses
of 20 lessons (20 x 45min) or 10 lessons (10 x 45min). Bodyboard courses are available, too (10 x 45min).
The group size is maximum 8 people while there are 4 students per instructor. In cooperation with your instructors, you can set your
individual goals at the beginning of the course.
Surfboards and wetsuits are provided free of charge. When you book a 20 lessons course you can also use the material outside of the
course hours.
Dates and Additional Services
You can book for 7 or 14 days. The surf season runs from June till October, and the prices vary between 149 and 239 Euro depending
on how many surf lessons you book (10 or 20 hours).
WaveXperience Moliets offers the following additional services:

Region
Moliets-Plage is situated in the Département of Landes (40) in the Aquitaine region, about 50 kilometres north of Bayonne.
The coastal strip from Biarritz in the south to Bordeaux in the north should be well known to most surfers. Here you can find almost
perfect conditions for waveriding which is also why every year many international competitions are held on the Côte d’Argent
(“Silver coast” ), e.g. the Quiksilver German Champs or Quiksilver Pro France.
The pinewood of Médoc and Landes, mainly man-made since the 18th century, constitutes the biggest coherent forest area in
Western Europe. The pines planted here were meant to drain the originally swampy soil. While the hinterland is therefore mainly
characterized by woodland, there is a long dune strip with beautiful beaches and a lot of world class surf spots on the Côte d’Argent
itself.
Moliets is about 150 kilometres away from Bordeaux and about 120 kilometres from San Sebastian.
How to Get There
Airlines such as Ryanair, EasyJet and AirBerlin offer flights from many European cities to Biarritz, Bordeaux, Bilbao and San Sebastian.
From the Netherlands and Belgium as well as from Germany, Switzerland and Austria there are coaches taking you to the larger
towns in Aquitaine. Prices are around 150 € for a return ticket.
Otherwise you can go to Dax by train and have yourself picked up at the station. And finally you can go by car, of course.
