Surfing courses

The ESPS is certified by the French Ministry of Youth and Sport, and the surf instructors Lionel, Gaël, Alex, Estelle and Xavier all have

years of teaching experience. There will never be more than 8 students per instructor, so best tuition is ensured. Furthermore, the

courses include the hiring of wetsuit and surfboard, surf theory lessons, video analyses as well as an accident insurance. Finally,

you’ll be informed about the connection of surfing and environment.

There are courses for adults and kids (from the age of 10 upwards).

The main surf spot is the Beachbreak of Le Pin Sec.

Prices and dates

Prices vary from 300 to 500 Euro per person and week according to season, number of persons and chosen level of comfort

(accommodation at the Ferme de la Brousse including 5x2 hours of surf lessons).

You can also book single surf lessons (from 22 Euro for 2 hours).

There are special offers for groups of at least 8 people.

Region

Le Pin Sec is situated in the Landes du Médoc which belong to the department of Gironde (33) in the Aquitaine region. The region’s

largest city and administrative centre is Bordeaux.

The entire coast line of the Côte d’Argent ( „Silver Coast“ ), which owes it’s name to the argentine solar reflections on the water

surface of the Atlantic Ocean, is probably well known to every surfer. Here you can find some of the best surf spots in

Europe, and international contests are held in the region every year, e.g. the Quiksilver Pro France or the Quiksilver German Champs.

The pinewood of the Médoc and the Landes constitute the largest coherent forest area in Western Europe, which was

besides mainly man-made. Since the 18th century, pines have been planted here in order to drain the originally swampy soil.

While the hinterland is thus characterized by woodland, there is a long line of dunes with beautiful beaches and many excellent

surf spots at the Côte d’Argent itself.

How to get there

It’s best to travel by car since the Ferme de la Brousse is situated 7 kilometres from the surf school at the D 101 near Naujac-sur-Mer,

around 70 kilometres northwest of Bordeaux.

Languages

You should be able to communicate in either French, English or German.
