The waiting has come to an end... After Arthur Wystrychowski (ADH Open Winner 2010), we've now talked to the aspiring young surfing talent Arne Bergwinkl.

Thanks to his endowment and outstanding ambition, the 15-year-old surfer has quickly developed to be Germany's new upcoming hopeful. At the QGC 2009 he finished second in the Juniors' category, one year later he equally made it to the final in the Open Men class. No wonder that his name has also recently appeared on the nomination list for the Action Sports Awards' category "Surfer of the Year 2010"!

1. What’s your name?
My name is Arne Noel Tayanka Bergwinkl.

2. Where and when were you born?
On June 9, 1995 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra / Bolivia.

3. What’s the best thing that has happened to you since that day?
Everything I’ve done so far has been awesome.

4. And who are you? Tell us three things that characterize you!
I´m a normal guy like everybody else. I like to surf all day long, hanging out with my friends and eating a lot.

5. Where are you at the moment?
In Ecuador.

6. Where would you like to be?
On Bali.

7. When did you start surfing?
When I was 10 years old.

8. What kind of surf board do you have?
I have an Aloha 5/10 17 2 1/16.

9. What’s your home spot and what’s your favorite spot?
My home spot is Canoa and my favorite spot is Mompiche (both in Ecuador).

10. What was your personal surfing highlight?
My first tube.

11. What makes you angry in the line-up?
When there are to many people in the water.

12. What is your dream surfing destination?
Hawaii and Indonesia.

13. What do you feel when you ride a wave?
It is as if I was on another planet.

14. What do you enjoy doing after a day of surfing?
A big meal.

15. What do you like doing besides surfing?
Hanging out with my buddies.

A lot…

17. If you could change one thing in the world, what would that be?
There would be no garbage on the street.

18. Tell us one embarrassing thing you would rather forget!
Actually, I’m not easily embarrassed.
