1. What’s your name?
Michael Bunde alias Bundesbär
2. Where and when were you born?
9th May 1985 in Marburg an der Lahn (Germany)
3. What’s the best thing that has happened to you since that day?
Moving to Hamburg and making surfer friends there
4. And who are you? Tell us three things that characterize you!
My looks ;-)
My sporting ambition
My open-mindedness to new things - be it sports, people or whatsoever
5. Where are you at the moment?
On my sofa with a Jever Fun (alcohol-free German beer) in my hand answering these questions
6. Where would you like to be?
Somewhere underneath palm trees with a tasty Astra Urtyp in my hand (alcoholic German beer)

7. When did you start surfing?
In the summer of this year
8. What kind of surf board do you have?
6’7
9. What’s your home spot and what’s your favorite spot?
Home spot: Sylt, favorite spot: Sylt - so far, I only know Sylt :-)
10. What was your personal surfing highlight?
When on the third day of surfing I for the first time succeeded in reading the sea and riding the waves
11. What makes you angry in the line-up?
Waves smashing into my face from left and right while I don't manage to paddle out...
12. What is your dream surfing destination?
I'm actually going to the Maldives in May – I just quickly have to inherit some money or win the lottery...

13. What do you feel when you ride a wave?
Above all, the conscious mind turns off and I just enjoy the moment
14. What do you enjoy doing after a day of surfing?
Spending a relaxing evening with my lads and gals
15. What do you like doing besides surfing?
All kinds of sports, especially football! Be it attending a FC St.Pauli match at Millerntor Stadium, watching a game on TV or running across the pitch myself…
16. Tell us three things you want to achieve in your life!
Perfect my surfing
Stay as happy as I am right now
Travel to as many countries with beautiful beaches as possible
17. If you could change one thing in the world, what would that be?
I would make a law saying that everybody with a regular salary has to pay a certain amount of money per month - be it only one Euro - directly to a social project like "Viva con Agua" (drinking water project in developing countries)! Congratulations to the awarded Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany!!!
18. Tell us one embarrassing thing you would rather forget!
I was incredibly drunk and walked through a foreign city not able to find my hotel. Instead I went round in circles, asking for the way four times in a row at the same police station. At the end they were so annoyed that they kept me there until the following evening...
