The spectators could enjoy some exciting quater- and semi-finals in the Open Class Men this morning, before the finals in the classes Longboard Women, Longboard Men, Open Women and Open Men took place.

In the quater- and semi-finals in the Open Class Men the remaining 12 surfers competed in a neck-and-neck race for the steepest and longest waves. In difficult conditions with unclean waves and partly strong current, Gerry Schlegel, Tim Surtmann, Adrian Siebert and Artur Wystrychowski fought their way through to the final.

The organizers didn't even allow themselves a short break after these exciting heats but started the Women's Longboard Final immediately afterwards. Above all, Carla Twelkemeier could score some points with nicely surfed turns. But also Charlene Thoms was able to impress the audience with goog maneuvers, e.g. a couple of nose-dives.

After that, the Men's Longboard Final was held, in which also Adrian Siebert had to compete after just a short breather. All the four contesters could delight the audience with great maneuvers and long waves. Especially Markus Emmerich could be assured of the supporting cheers of his fan club from Freiburg. Philipp Kuretzky however suffered from bad luck in the Longboard Final when his board was cut in half by a wave during the heat.

In the Women's Open Class Final Daniela Cramer surprised with steep and high waves as well as good maneuvers.

In the last and probably most exciting Final in the Open Class Men all surfers were able to position themselves very well close to the peaks and battled for the best waves. Artur Wystrychowski impressed with radical maneuvers and a fluent surfing style.
